Dianne Collier, a military wife of many years, has been supporting military wives in numerous initiatives for over 18 years. One of the founding members of the Board of Directors of CFB Petawawa's Military Family Resource Centre, Dianne also edited and produced the first-ever newsletter linking military family resource centres across Canada and Europe. She was also a member of the editorial board of the CFB Petawawa Base Post newspaper and chaired the committee that created a park and monument to military spouses — the first of its kind in Canada.

Dianne is the recipient of the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal, the Canada 125 medal and the CFB Petawawa Base Commander's Commendation for her contributions to the military community. As well, she was the first recipient of the 1st Battalion, The Royal Canadian Regiment's Humanitarian Award.
